IFCA Structure

Members 

IFCA membership is currently made up of foster carers/parents, relative carers, parents of children in care, HSE managment, social workers, childcare workers, residential care staff and other agencies with an interest in fostering. At the moment IFCA represent over 50% of the foster carers/parents in the country. 

Branches

IFCA has 28 active branches around the country that are run by volunteers committees. These committees run training and social events for the IFCA members in their area. 

IFCA Board of Directors

The Irish Foster Care Association is run by a Board of Directors who are responsible for the governance of the association.  The Board is made up of 10 Regional Reps., representatives from the area of Management, Business/Finance, Training development, HSE, Youth, Relative care.

Executive Committee

An Executive Committee is elected from the Board of Directors and are responsible for the day to day running of the association. 

Staff 

The Irish Foster Care Association employs seven staff in the areas of Administration, Training, Finance, Support and Management.
