First Aid

The following websites offer factsheets and information on first-aid. The Red Cross website also has an app which will give you instant access to step-by-step advice, videos and other information you may need in order to carry out first-aid.

Some scenarios in which you might use first-aid techniques before emergency services take over could be: choking, severe bleeding, the recovery position, CPR (cardio-pulmonary resucitation), what to do when someone is unresponsive, and what to do in the case of a heart attack.

Please note that factsheets and information are not a substitute for first-aid training.
